Rutek to become part of the Beritech Group: “We’ll draw on one another’s strengths”
Central Jutland based Rutek brings complementary competencies and paves the way for Beritech in the pharmaceutical market.
Beritech has just signed an agreement to acquire Rutek, a company specialized in the design and manufacture of stainless steel constructions - including custom tanks and pressure equipment with PED approval for the pharmaceutical, offshore, and chemical industries.
With the acquisition, Beritech adds a new business segment targeting, among others, the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, complementing Beritech’s existing activities. Beritech already has a strong foothold as a supplier of custom-built tank systems for the dairy and food industries.

Another Boost to Beritech’s Expansion.
This marks Beritech Group’s sixth acquisition in just eighteen months. Rutek, together with the existing Beritech business area known as Stainless Steel Tanks, creates a strong commercial synergy and enables an expanded customer offering within the tank segment—both in terms of complexity, quality management, and project size.
Beritech CEO Bent Larsen says:
“We are seeing a clear trend of increasing demand for services and manufacturing across all industries. The acquisition of Rutek reflects our ambition to make Beritech an even more complete supplier within the stainless steel sector.”
Through previous acquisitions, Beritech has demonstrated its ability to create growth - and enter new markets- through knowledge sharing and combined production capacity. Expectations for the acquisition of Rutek are therefore high.
“Rutek is one of the strongest suppliers of tank systems and pressure equipment to the pharmaceutical market. They are a highly skilled team with specialist knowledge, and we look forward to leveraging their competencies and know-how in this field. This is a key reason why Rutek is such a strong strategic match,” explains Bent Larsen.
Leaving Both Parties Satisfied.
Former owner of Rutek, Martin Ketil Bak, is also pleased that the agreement with Beritech has been finalized.
“At Rutek, we have worked to build a scalable business and a robust process management structure. Within Beritech Group, the companies utilize each other’s strengths to optimize a shared business. Beritech can help accelerate Rutek’s development even further, benefiting both employees and customers,”
says Martin Ketil Bak, who after the acquisition hands over the CEO role to Bent Larsen but will remain connected to Rutek.
Rutek employs around 45 people. Under the new ownership, the company will continue at its current location in Randers as an independent business unit. This gives Beritech a strong base in Central Jutland, which is expected to be strengthened with new competencies and capacity.
“It is very much thanks to our employees that we have come this far in our efforts to deliver the highest quality of custom tank systems and process equipment that meet the stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. Throughout the process, Beritech has shown great respect for what we have built. Rutek will retain its identity while gaining the best possible foundation for continued growth,”
adds Martin Ketil Bak.
