New Cod Line Installed On Board Royal Greenland's Kiliutaq

As onboard production setups continue to evolve, flexibility and efficiency remain key to staying competitive at sea. For Royal Greenland, expanding Kiliutaq’s processing setup from shrimp-only to a combined line was a natural next step, and one Beritech was proud to help realize.

Our team delivered and installed a dedicated cod processing line, making Kiliutaq fully equipped for dual-species production at sea. The installation was combined with a complete service of the existing shrimp equipment to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation across both product lines.

Practical Upgrade for Increased Flexibility

The new cod line was specifically engineered to integrate seamlessly into the vessel’s existing factory layout. Compact and optimized for efficient workflow, the setup enables complete onboard processing of cod—from freezing to packing and palletizing.

To ensure reliability across both lines, we also carried out a comprehensive service of the existing shrimp factory. This step minimized potential downtime and secured a smooth integration of the dual production lines. The result is a flexible, dependable system that allows the crew to efficiently manage production at sea.
