Beritech invests again: newest addition in the field of sheet metal cutters.
It has been a strong year of growth for the North Jutland–based company Beritech, which has led to investments in both new machinery and additional employees.
In 2022 alone, Beritech has invested a double-digit million amount in machinery and robotics with the purpose of meeting an increasing demand for sustainable and efficient solutions. Most recently, the cutting department in Beritech’s main production facility has been equipped with a Bystronic 15kW fiber laser plate cutter.
Perfect cuts and automation.
On average, thanks to the new 15kW laser, cutting speed increases by up to 50 percent compared to a 10kW laser source. This means that both Beritech and its customers can benefit from higher productivity at lower unit costs.
The high-value machine ensures uniform cutting quality across the entire sheet through the latest fiber technology and kerf scan. It is equipped with ByTrans Extended, enabling unmanned operation with automatic handling of parts and scrap. Fully automatic nozzle changes increase beam time, as multiple types of sheets can be loaded into the magazine for large-scale production runs.
With state-of-the-art equipment, the new fiber laser cutter becomes the most powerful machine in Beritech’s cutting department - and that says something:
“It’s not just a matter of being able to cut a little faster and a little cheaper. The new laser power is a true game changer for the industry, one we’ve been waiting for,”
explains Steen Buus Christensen, Sales Manager, Beritech Manufacturing.
He further explains that this is due to the many obvious benefits of the technology:
“Previously, sheets above a certain thickness would be cut using waterjet or plasma cutting, depending on their intended use. This machine can do it all, as it delivers the beautiful cutting results we know from waterjet cutting and the high volume we know from plasma cutting,”
says Steen Buus Christensen, Sales Manager, Beritech Manufacturing.

Benefits for customers of both semi- and fully manufactured products.
With the new machine, which has just been installed and put into operation, significant advantages lie ahead for Beritech’s customers.
Beritech Manufacturing serves customers with both individual processes within steel processing as well as turnkey production. The new plate cutter will therefore be used for both semi-finished and fully finished products. Beritech is already receiving inquiries for both small and large series production within plate processing from customers who outsource laser cutting. The machine will also be used to cut plates for further processing within Beritech - for example, in the production of lifting equipment for the food industry, which requires plate cutting of up to 40 mm stainless steel.
“The new machine secures a strong market position for us. We are heading into a new year with a record number of orders across the entire country, and we are taking on increasingly large and complex projects. With the new machine, we can handle even more cutting tasks - both when we support customers with individual processes and when we deliver turnkey production,”
explains Steen Buus Christensen.
