Beritech acquires a share in COBY-design
Beritech continues its investments. This time it is in the North Jutland–based company COBY-design, which specializes in design and construction tasks.
In recent years, Beritech has carried out a series of acquisitions and investments. The most recent was the Mid Jutland company Rutek, which was acquired in May 2022. That acquisition has given an extra boost to production for the pharmaceutical industry — and this is precisely where Beritech is especially in need of additional resources within design and construction
With a share in COBY-design, Beritech further strengthens the engineering and construction competencies within the Beritech organization and becomes even better equipped to deliver future solutions across design, production, and customers – both in Denmark and globally.

The cooperation has exceeded all expectations, and it is therefore natural for us to seek part ownership as we increase our capacity. We are seeing a growing demand for turnkey solutions that combine engineering, production, project management, and more. A young company with growth potential.
COBY-design provides consultancy services within documentation, project management, design, and development – working with some of the country’s largest manufacturing companies. This typically means that a designer from COBY-design carries out their work physically at the customer’s site for several months at a time. Today, the company employs three full-time staff and is seeking six new colleagues to meet the rising demand.
When Beritech takes part ownership as of January 1, 2023, it means that some of COBY-design’s employees will physically be located at Beritech. COBY-design will have access to Beritech’s office facilities on Fåborgvej in Aalborg East. However, designers and project managers who are assigned to other manufacturing companies will continue to be located at the customers’ sites. This aspect of the company’s work will not change.
