Beritech was not built on investment rounds or strategic plans. It was founded by a man who believed that the right people, given the right conditions, can solve almost anything.

From apprentice to the person who sets the direction.
Beritech was founded in 1995 by Bent Larsen. At just 28, with a background as a metalworker and mechanical technician, he set out to build something practical and enduring: technical solutions that work in real production environments. What began as a small, hands-on specialist business was driven by a simple belief in solid engineering, hard work, and doing right by customers.
In 2025, we celebrate 30 years of Beritech. Three decades of growth, learning, and continuous improvement without losing the grounded mindset that started it all.
Beritech milestones
Every brand has a story. Not every story builds a brand.
From a one-man show in a garage in 1995 to a group of specialists operating across four countries, every decision has been made by the people who own the outcome. Here are the moments that shaped Beritech into what it is today.
1995
Founded in a garage
Bent Larsen, 27 years old and a trained blacksmith, founds Beritech together with his study friend Ricky Thygesen. The name comes from their initials: Be(nt) + Ri(cky) + Tech. First order: 63 cutting tables for Danish Crown.
1996–1997
First tanks, first markets
The first dairy tanks are delivered. A supplier agreement with MFI Kolding opens all Danish dairies. Word of Beritech's solutions travels with Danish dairy specialists to the Middle East and Latin America.
2008
Into Norway, bigger than ever
First tanks shipped to Norway. The same year, Beritech delivers its first 410m³ tanks to Arla Rødkærsbro. Bent admits he could not sleep the night before delivery.
2011-2020
Merger with Carsoe
Beritech merges with Carsoe. The company grows to 400 employees with branches in the US, UK and Norway.
2018
Carsoe sold
Carsoe is sold to equity partner Solix.
2020
Beritech reborn
Bent makes the decision to leave Carsoe and revive the name he started with. He acquires steel processing company DLT and lays the foundation for what becomes Beritech Group.
2021
Three acquisitions
Strategic acquisitions of Oslo Denmark, Unistaal Service Division and Carsoe Liquid Tanks bring new capabilities and capacity into the group.
2022
The pharma turning point
The acquisition of Rutek brings deep expertise in pharmaceutical deliveries, traceability, QA and documentation into the group. These capabilities are scaled across Beritech Group, forming the foundation for larger and more complex pharma projects. The same year, Beritech receives its largest pharma order to date: 50 skids, 49 tanks, 54,000 welds and 11,000 metres of pipework.
2023
BB-Steel acquired, Seafood Onboard launched
The acquisition of BB-Steel marks Beritech's first foothold on Zealand, establishing local presence close to Denmark's largest pharmaceutical companies. The same year, Beritech launches its Seafood Onboard division, expanding into onboard fish processing solutions.
2024
Salmon Processing launched
Beritech launches its first dedicated salmon processing products, bringing together the industry's strongest profiles and giving them the resources to build the solutions the industry has always demanded.
2025
Nordic Engineering acquired
Acquisition of Nordic Engineering strengthens engineering capacity and project management capabilities across pharmaceutical and food processing. Agent agreements with leading international suppliers bring a wider range of components closer to our clients in Scandinavia.
2025
PharmaPipe stake acquired
Beritech acquires a 33% stake in PharmaPipe, bringing specialist expertise in pharmaceutical piping design, early-stage engineering and consultancy into the group. A dedicated team with deep knowledge of the specific demands of regulated piping systems in pharmaceutical environments.
March 2026
Olsen & Pedersen Staal acquired
The acquisition of OP Stål strengthens Beritech's presence and workforce on Zealand with nearly 40 years of experience in fabrication, welding, assembly and surface treatment. OP Stål continues to operate under its own name, responding to growing demand for complex, high-quality solutions across the country.
